Managing Your Files and Projects
Glintia keeps your work in two places. Your designs (projects) are listed under My Projects on the Home dashboard. The files you upload (images, videos and audio) live in your media library, which you manage from the My Files page or from the Upload panel inside the editor. This article covers both.
Find and open a design
Section titled “Find and open a design”Click Home in the left sidebar. My Projects lists every design you’ve made, with the most recently edited first.
- Search projects… filters the list by name as you type
- Grid view and List view switch between cards and compact rows. List view also shows each design’s canvas size, such as 1920 × 1080
- Tile size (grid view, on wider screens) makes the cards smaller or larger
- The first 25 designs are shown. Click Load More for the next 25
Click a design’s thumbnail or name to open it. To open it in a new browser tab, hold Ctrl (Cmd on a Mac) while you click.
For a full tour of the dashboard, see Your Dashboard.
Thumbnails and cards
Section titled “Thumbnails and cards”Each card shows a thumbnail of the design, its editor mode (designs in Full Editor mode have no badge), its length once it has been saved, and when you last edited it.
Thumbnails are made automatically from your design while you work. They refresh about every two minutes during editing, and straight away when you save with Ctrl+S (Cmd+S on a Mac) or the save icon in the editor header. Until a design has a thumbnail, its card shows a placeholder with the design’s name instead. On a computer with a mouse, hover over a card to play through its scenes.
Rename a design
Section titled “Rename a design”- Open the design
- Click the name in the middle of the editor header. A new design shows the placeholder “Untitled Design …”
- Type the new name
The name saves automatically with the rest of the design, and the new name shows on the dashboard when you go back to it.
Delete a design
Section titled “Delete a design”- On the Home dashboard, hover over the design’s card or row. An × button appears in the corner (it’s always visible on touch screens)
- Click the × (its tooltip reads “Delete project”)
- In the “Delete Project?” box, click Yes, Delete, or Keep Project to cancel
Organizing your work
Section titled “Organizing your work”My Projects is a single list, sorted by last edit. There are no folders, and the dashboard has no option to duplicate, move or copy a whole design. A few ways to stay organized:
- Name designs consistently, for example “Client - Product launch - v2”, so Search projects… finds them quickly
- Reuse a scene inside a design with Duplicate Scene. See Working with Scenes
- Move items between scenes with Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V (Cmd on a Mac). Copy and paste works inside the design you have open. The clipboard is cleared when you open a different design
My Files: your media library
Section titled “My Files: your media library”Click My Files in the left sidebar. The page shows “Everything you have uploaded, in one place.” That includes files you uploaded, your recordings, generated voices such as text-to-speech voiceovers (type VOICE), and AI results that were saved to your library, which carry an AI badge. Designs are not listed here, and finished exports are on the Renders page. See Cloud Rendering and the Renders Page.
You can’t upload from My Files itself. “Files you upload while editing a design will appear here.” To add files, use the Upload panel in the editor. See Uploading Your Own Media.
Storage and upload counts
Section titled “Storage and upload counts”The box at the top right shows how many files you have (for example “120 files”), how much space they take up, and how many of your plan’s uploads you’ve used (for example “40 of 200 uploads”).
These are two different numbers. “Files you upload count toward your plan’s limit. Generated voices and AI results don’t.” See Plans, Limits and Usage for each plan’s storage.
Search, filter and sort
Section titled “Search, filter and sort”- Search files by name or type… searches your whole library, not just what’s on screen
- The type chips under the search box filter by kind: All, IMAGE, VIDEO, AUDIO, VOICE and SVG. Each chip shows how many files of that type you have, and only types you actually have are shown. Click several chips to combine them, or All to clear them
- Sort by: Newest first, Oldest first, Name (A–Z) or Largest first
- Grid view and List view switch the layout. List view shows each file’s type, size and upload date in columns. On a phone, files are always shown as a grid
If nothing matches, you’ll see “No files match your search”. Click Clear to reset the search and filters.
Files uploaded before Glintia started storing file names, and files the AI tools produced, show as “Untitled” followed by a short code.
Preview a file
Section titled “Preview a file”Click a file to open a full-size preview of the original. Videos and audio start playing, with the usual player controls. The preview’s header shows the file’s type, dimensions, length and size. Press Esc, click × or click outside the preview to close it.
A file that is still being processed after upload shows Processing… and can’t be opened yet. It becomes clickable when processing finishes.
Download a file
Section titled “Download a file”Hover over a file (or look at the end of its row in list view) and click the Download icon. Files larger than 100 MB open in a new browser tab instead of downloading directly. Use your browser’s save option from there.
Delete a file
Section titled “Delete a file”- Hover over the file and click the Delete (trash) icon
- In “Delete this file?”, click Delete
You’ll see “File deleted.” when it’s done. Deleting frees the storage and, for files you uploaded, an upload slot.
My Files has no rename, folders or move option. Files are identified by the name they had when you uploaded them.
Manage uploads from inside the editor
Section titled “Manage uploads from inside the editor”The editor’s Upload panel shows the same library while you work. The button at the top, for example “Upload 160/200”, shows how many uploads you have left out of your plan’s total. Use Search uploads… to find a file.
Hover over a file and click the … button for more options:
- Transcript (video, audio and voice files): turns the file’s speech into text you can copy, and gets it ready for lip sync. Transcribing uses AI credits; the panel shows the estimate before you start
- Delete: removes the file from your library
